Workshop Overview
This two-day workshop will introduce Somatic Interventions that can be applied to the 8 Phases of EMDR. Somatic Psychology studies the relationship between the body and psychological states by highlighting physiological patterns as a primary foundation of human behavior. This course will review the physiology of the nervous system and how somatic interventions directly influence nervous system regulation and therapy. These somatic interventions will be explored didactically and experientially through practices including body awareness, progressive muscle relaxation, and exploration of body posturing. The weekend will include time for case discussion and application.
This Advanced EMDR Workshop is EMDRIA Approved. Trainees must attend the entire workshop in order to receive credit.
