This two-day EMDRIA approved EMDR Advanced Training is an introduction to Somatic Psychology and how it interfaces with the 8 Phases of EMDR Therapy. Somatic Psychology studies the relationship between the body and psychological states by highlighting physiological patterns as a primary foundation of human behavior. Therapists will learn the history of somatic psychology and the basic principles that are the foundations of body centered therapies. This training will review the physiology of the nervous system and how somatic interventions directly influence nervous system regulation and therapy. These Somatic Interventions will be explored didactically and experientially through practices including body awareness, non-verbal communications, exploration of body posturing as well as habitual stress responses. The weekend will include time for case discussion and application.

Eligibility Requirements

Full completion of an EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Training is required in order to participate in this EMDRIA approved EMDR Advanced Training. Registrants are required to email a scanned copy of their  “Certificate of Completion” to the Maiberger Institute prior to registration and payment:

Registration and Payment

All registrants agree to all terms and policies of this training. Full payment due a time of registration. Included within (as in, it is already a part of) the Regular Registration Fee is a non-refundable and non-transferrable $95 Application Fee, and applies to all applicants. The final price quoted at the top of the registration page will the total fee due at time of registration, and has already been adjusted for fees and discounts.
