The personally identifiable information collected through our Website is generally used to fulfill your requests for our training, programs, and services, as well as directory listing, to respond to your inquiries about our offerings, to personalize your online experience, for our newsletter, for internal record keeping, and in other ways naturally associated with the circumstances in which you provided the information.  We also may use this information to later contact you for a variety of reasons, such as customer service, market research, offering you other trainings, programs, or services that we believe may be of interest to you, or to communicate with you about content or other information you have posted or shared with us via our Website.   We are also required to share certain information with various organizations for compliance purposes related to EMDR trainings and workshops, including, but not limited to the APA, EMDRIA, and NBCC.  We may share or sell your personally identifiable information with third parties such as our partners, contractors, vendors, consultants and professional advisors to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf.  In response to a legal process or law enforcement request we may disclose personally identifiable information. We also may disclose personally identifiable information if we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. In addition, we may transfer your personally identifiable information as part of the assets of our company if we are, or parts of our business is, sold to, merged with or acquired by, a third party.

We use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect in a variety of ways, including to administer the Website, help us analyze site traffic, understand customer needs and trends, carry out targeted promotional activities, including but not limited to MailChimp, Google, Facebook, and Amazon Associate programs, improve the quality of the pages that make up our Website, gather broad demographic information, and to improve our Website services. We may use your non-personal information by itself or aggregate it with information we have obtained from others. We may share your non-personal information with our affiliated companies and third parties to achieve these objectives and others.  In no event is this information matched to your personally identifiable information, and aggregate information is anonymous information that does not personally identify you.

IP Addresses.  We may collect IP addresses for purposes of system administration, to report non-personal aggregate information to others, and to track the use of our Website. IP addresses are considered non-personal information and also may be shared as provided above. It is not our practice to link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable; that is, the visitor’s session will be logged, but the visitor remains anonymous to us. However, we reserve the right to use IP addresses to identify a visitor when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Website rules or: (a) to fulfill a government request; (b) to conform with the requirements of the law or legal process; (c) to protect or defend our legal rights or property, our Website, or other users; or (d) in an emergency, to protect the health and safety of our Website’s users or the general public.

Cookies. “Cookies” are a small file, which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. If you send us an email with questions or comments, we may use your personally identifiable information to respond to your questions or comments, and we may save your questions or comments for future reference. For security reasons, we do not recommend that you send non-public personal information, such as passwords, credit card information, social security numbers, or bank account information, to us by email. However, aside from our reply to such an email, it is not our standard practice to send you email unless you request a particular service or sign up for a feature that involves email communications, it relates to purchases you have made with us, we are sending you information about our other training and services, or you consented to being contacted by email for a particular purpose. In certain instances, we may provide you with the option to set your preferences for receiving email communications from us; that is, agree to some communications but not others. We reserve the right to send you transactional emails such as customer service communications.

We take special care to protect the safety and privacy of children. Our site is a general audience site.  Nevertheless, the features, programs, promotions, services and other aspects of our Website requiring the submission of personally identifiable information are not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.
